Ute Hasenauer

Ute Hasenauer was concertmaster of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich, at the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, partly as the first woman in the history of the orchestra.

In 2004 she joined the faculty of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (HfMT Köln) and received a professorship.

Ute Hasenauer founded and directs the "Pre-College Cologne"-  early study program for musically high gifted young students aged between 10-16 years.

In addition to instrumental instruction in violin and jury activities, she is involved in numerous committees for talent research and activities in the field of music, like Tonkünstlerverband (DTKV) , Deutscher Hochschullehrerverband (DHV ) and the “ag rheinland hochbegabt”. In 2004-2016 she was elected to the board of the ESTA Germany (European String Teacher's Association).

She appeared in numerous television productions at the Bayerischer Rundfunk, WDR, 3sat, MDR , SWR, Br-alpha, Deutsche Welle, RTBF Belgium, Swiss Television and on radio broadcasts in WDR5, WDR 3, NDR, RBB, BR4 Classic,SWR, radio Z and the Belgian radio.

Since early childhood she performed as a soloist with orchestra and gave numerous recitals at home and abroad.

Ute Hasenauer studied at the state universities of Music in Essen, Cologne and Mannheim with Prof.V.Gradow, Prof.S.Grawriloff, Prof. W.Marschner and Prof. Y.U.Kim.
